I have a 2 year old female BSH Tabby.
I started off feeding her on James Wellbeloved, her breath and fur stunk and she scooted quite a bit, I found a British made food called Canagan, that she loves, the bad breath and stinking fur were no more but the scooting continued.
I fed her on a mix of Turkey and Chicken Canagan and stopped all treats to stop the scooting, she had her anal glands drained on a regular basis, extra fibre and wet food were added to her diet, non of this worked.
Then I stopped feeding her chicken..... like magic the scooting stopped.
She only has Turkey as her main food and Carnilove duck treats, she is cured of scooting.
She still manages to scrounge the odd scrap when I am not looking, tomato sauce and blue cheese are the oddest ones.
I hope this might help somebody who has a scooting cat.
