I have a friend that wants to know if she can use LA-200 on her cat. Is this safe?

It is a large animal injectable antibiotic.  Friend must be a dairy farmer.

Then NO!!!!! NO NO NO! Never give to a cat something that is meant for a large animal like that. First off, what is the reason she wants to give it to the cat and secondly, if the cat has an infection she needs a real small animal vet.

I don't know that she did have an infection. It sounded like she just wanted to know for future reference. And yes I am a dairy farmer. A goat dairy farmer. :)

I wouldn't, it is only meant for large animals.  While some of the drugs are transferable between large and small animals, this is not one of them.

I don't know all the uses for LA-200, but I (dairy farmer) use it for pinkeye in calves, and occasionally pneumonia.
