kneading

Hi, i just acquired a 2 1/2 yr old siamese/manx female. She is very smart and I am truly blessed to have her. She is always "kneading" when she comes on my lap or onto the bed.
Any reasons for this behavior? Is it a sign of insecurity?
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks maggs

i think all cats do this, and i think it's a sign of happiness

they knead the blanket or your chest and purrrrrr

thats my opinion, but i definitely dont think its a sign of anything negative

Congrats on your new baby!

It's perfectly natural. It's what kittens do to their mommy, so she is saying you are her mom.
