Miss Kitty, my 9 month old little friend, has been sick fir the past day or so. She went to the vet yesterday and got all her shots and they checked her out real good. She was running a fever of 103 when we got there. It didn't hit me to ask what is normal temperature level for cats. Does anyone know? Also, is there anything that can be given to her for a fever?

Hi rdean and welcom to the forums!

The normal rectal temperature for cats (as stated by the "Cat Owner's Home Veterinary Handbook" is 100-103F. Even if she is running a fever (it seems like she's not), you shouldn't really give her any people medicine.

Did she start feeling bad after she got the shots? I'm thinking maybe it's some kind of a reaction. Did you tell the vet she wasn't feeling well?
