hi all,
we have a 13 yr old tabby recently diagnosed w throat cancer ( hes doin great ) he's got a feed tube that will be permanent. At times he scratches the heck out of the collar, No hair due to rad treatmets, I know that bugs him.. Anyone got any suggestions of creams or ointments that might help calm the area down
Thanks

Hi! Welcome!!
hes doin great
This is wonderful to hear!!

Mamanyt1953 Mamanyt1953 typically suggests a "treatment" of chamomile tea, which is antifungal, antibacterial and will ease the itch. Use storebought (garden grown is an unsafe variety of chamomile), brew and chill it, and dab on with a clean cotton ball or similar.

If he could never lick it off, there are creams for people who undergo radiation like Miaderm. Ask your vet first though about any other products as your boy has a lot going on.
