Alex and Tyler are almost nine months old now. When they were younger they easily ate 10-12 ounces of wet food a day. Now it is more like 6-7. I’ve eliminated all kibble to see if they would eat a small mid day meal but they just seem to have settled on two meals a day. So, is that enough wet food for urinary health? They do drink a small amount each day but that has stayed about the same even when they were piggies with their food. I know adult cats average 5-6 ounces of wet food so I hope all is well. Thanks for any advice.

As the cats age, they eat less. It’s ok that they are solely on wet food which it’s good for them as cats have low thirst drive and some don’t even drink water from the water dish or cat fountain and the only way to get them hydrated is wet food.

My boy use to eat lots when he was a kitten and now he’s two years old and he’s eating less. I just feed him whatever amount he can finish at one sitting. He’s solely on wet food and he hardly drink from his water dish.
