Oh okay. I am going to have to get the advice of another vet if I can go back, just not sure about the one I took him to in the first place, I feel like he is more about money than helping. He has been in practice a long time he should know better in my opinion...we will see how it all goes. Already over 100 invested in these little guys and that's not counting food or litter.

That's not good. [emoji]128533[/emoji]

Please take him to a different vet, and be sure to ask questions based on the information you've been given. I hate for him to lose his eye. He may be in pain too.

Perhaps you can pay a small amount, and the rest over time. My vet lets me pay on a monthly plan over time.

Unless I can sell some stuff and make money or get donations which neither has been working at all, I just do not have any money I can't even buy groceries for myself. I spent every last penny on these babies.

The only vets I know around here charge an arm and a leg and take money at time of service. Maybe the next towns over but I also do not have our car here with me, also we just moved into this house not long ago and the reason we are so financially strapped is because we were hit with a lot of unforseeable bills and problems.

It will be weeks before we have money at all and by then I fear it may be far too late.

I have tried everything I can think of everything....

I'm sorry. I certainly understand financial problems.

You might try calling a rescue organization in your area to see if they might be able to help. They can sometimes help with pet food too.

And, there are usually organizations in town that can help with groceries - food pantries and churches. Look around and make some calls. Help is out there!

Thank you. That article had tons of info but so far I have either tried it or it's not something that will help, still looking and have tried to contact some assistance places in the area waiting for responses.

Well I just learned some terrifying news, a bit off topic of the eye which is still not getting better despite medications :(

The person I got them from to foster, told me that all but one of the last litter died....and well possibly of FelV! :( Wish I would have known this sooner...

You can have your kitten tested though, rather than assume the worst. Especially since it came to you as speculation.

I thought you had stopped the terramycin. What are you using in the kitten's eye now?

He's acting healthy otherwise though, right?

His eye started getting worse without meds, maybe I did not give the terramycin enough time to work? I've been told to continue the treatment with it, until I can get him to new vet I don't know what else to do. Giving him nothing won't make it better either. I believe he may have keratitis/conjunctivitis or uevitis. Keratitis being the most likely.

Yes he is active about as much as they all are.

I can't answer that. Your kitten really needs to see a vet.

You were given exceptional advice in Post #13 by @Red Top Rescue, about how to proceed. I know money is a problem, but the eye needs further medical attention. I hope you can find a way to get help for the kitten.

I know :/ if I had the means to do that he would have already been again. I might be able to take him at the end of the week but I have absolutely no way to do that right now, unless a miracle happened and I don't have any of those.

That's good news. I really hope this vet will be helpful, do the dye test, then prescribe accordingly.

Also, if you speak with the office manager, you may be able to pay part of the bill Friday, then pay the rest monthly.

Let me know how it goes Friday!

They actually mentioned the dye test over the phone, so they really seem to know their stuff.
