Kitten weaning

Hi we have 4 kittens who are 4 1/2 weeks old and still with the mummy cat . We have got in ready kitten food , kitten milk and small low litter trays just wondering if any advice on how to start weaning ? Many Thanks

Start putting the kittens in the litter pan before and after meals and other times throughout the day. They will catch on best to eating and litter training between 6-8 weeks. :)

I always started weaning by making up a real sloppy mix of KMR and wet food. Stick your finger in the kitten slop, then put it in their mouth. Eventually, they'll start eating it off your finger. You can then get them to eat out of a plate or bowl pretty easily. If they won't eat it at first (start with only a small amount), give it to mom--she needs the calcium, anyway.
