I recently took in this little female kitten. Shes about 9 weeks old, but i dont know for sure. She is an indoor only, and not my first time owning an indoor cat. She learned quick to use the box, and hasnt gone poop or pee anywhere else.
Her litter box started getting this odd smell. At first I thought something must have gotten spilled into it that shouldnt be there. So I cleaned it all out and put fresh litter in it. Not even an hour later it was back to having that smell... no matter how often i clean it, it comes back.
Its a sickeningly sweet smell that fills the entire house. Im going to get her to the vet but I wanted to know if anybody else has had this happen?
She is very active, playful, energetic, loving and eats and drinks well. No outward signs of a problem.
