My 4 month old kitten Penguin has been tearing a hole under the couch and climbing up inside it. (insert face palm here) I have taped the entire edge with 2 strips of packing tape but he has still been able to make a hole and get inside. I've blocked all sides of the couch with posterboard, stuffed an old comforter under there, but nope.
I know there are things to buy but does anyone have a cost free way of blocking the area under the couch so that it's Penguin-free?
Thank you!

We had a cat that did something similar but with the mattress under our bed. I solved the problem by stacking heavy books between the floor and the bed so that it was impossible for her to climb underneath. That did the trick! Best of luck, I hope you find what works best to deter Penguin from getting inside your couch.:crossfingers:

Hi. Also try making up some 'hiding places' for Penguin that he might use once the couch is blocked off. He wants a place to hide, so try to give that to him. A cardboard box turned upside down with a small entry hole, with whatever you want to place in it for flooring/bedding. You can introduce it to him by leading him there with treats.

Definitely make hiding places like FeebysOwner FeebysOwner mentioned. As for the couch, this is more of a longer term solution... But you can buy some thin backer board or stronger fabric and staple it to the bottom of the couch. =You'll have to go the full bottom area of the couch though otherwise there will still be ways in.
