Kitten drank milk should i be worried!?

My 3 1/2 month old kitten drank some organic whole milk. Im nervous that it might not be good for him. Should i be worried?? He is having some gas and his tummy is making some noises. He is sleeping now. I just want to be sure that he wont get ill. Does anyone have any advice?

Hi there.  Your kitten should be okay.  He may have some diarrhea and gas for a day or two because cats are lactose intolerant but he'll be back to normal in no time

Many years ago, at least in rural areas where vets dealt mainly with livestock, vets would recommend giving constipated cats milk.  It usually worked but there are better ways to deal with the issue.

Ah thank you both so much! Im glad to hear that he will be okay. Poor guy had so much gas. Lol he really likes milk if i turn my head for one second he tries to steal it from me.

There are special cat milks available at the pet store if you wish to treat kitty. It's essentially  lactose-free milk. One brand that I bought was goat milk, which causes less digestive problems.

I remember my kitty from childhood days loooooved milk. He'd lap it up and then get diarrhea. Apparently never connected the two, he'd just go at it every time. We were aware of the problem, but couldn't resist treating him. We'd try to give him "just a little" to avoid problems, but never measured anything so of course there were repercussions.

Lol yeah he loves greek yogurt too. He goes crazy when he hears me open it for my breakfast. I let him lick it out when i am done and boy does he lick it clean. Lol ill look into getting him so milk he can have!! =D
