Sounds hopeful!

Try to get glucose sugar / dextrose proper. Its difficult to get in USA, but may be easier in other countries...
Its useful in many circumstances, both emergency and in bakery. Also in sports and during exams - gives quick energhy.

Still alive and looking around. He ate some wet food on his own. Getting fluids in was hard yesterday(he was fighting me) plus he had a massive pee of course.
I need to get some pedialyte(the one for babies right?) so I can give it orally.
Put som syrup on his gums after his food

Any tips on feeding him because I don't want to overfeed....
Assuming he's gonna hang on
🙏

If he had a massive pee it hints you managed to fluid him properly.

Yes, the pedialyte for babies is best. Unflavored and so.

Its not easy to overfeed an kitten. Also, the rule of thumb is; 8 ml / oz a day, ie 8ml / 28 grammes.... Say, a kitten of 200 grammes; about 7x8 ml; ie about 55 ml during the day.

If difficult to feed, feeding with a tube directly to stomach is the "easiest" and safest. The problem its difficult and dangerous for a beginner.
You MUST be shown by someone knowleable, and also get suitable gears. Next problem, it seems many vets arent doing tube feeding, nor are willing to show how to do it...
But if you happen to have a vet whom is, or a rescuer nearby, whom is able to show you - yes, this may be a good idea....

But usually a syringe is good enough.

Some have had success with small sponge, of the make up type.... Drench it with kmr / goats milk...

I've been feeding portions of wet food for kittens every 2-3 hours since waking up. He's got some dry food in with him but he hasn't touched it anymore.
Scared to give formula because he puked on saturday and I don't know if it was a cause, if it was too much in one go. I worry about doing something wrong and causing his crashing.

I'm all he's got btw. We don't have any special kitten rescues who could or would take him. The vet actually wanted to PTS on Saturday.... I already decided to do everything I can for him but he's crashed twice so I'm scared of course

As he takes wet food it should be OK. Wet food is also more energhy tight than kmr...

IF you can get some good goats milk, it could be an alternative to kmr. The tendency is, when a kitten doesnt manage kmr, they usually manage goats milk.
RAW goats milk is safest, and healthy by itself, if you can get it, but it seems almost any form of goat milk aside of funny fat reduced diet variations are useable.

Yeah, many vets have hardly a clue about weak small kittens. As soon there are any problems they suggest to pts. And so, they dont get the practical experience of learning by doing.
Possibly its from their experience: most cat owners whom got an oops litter, arent willing to put in much effort in taking care of a weak kitten.
Also, as most cats dont have insurance, the money goes quickly up...
So they probably think its the kindest to the owner to tell: sorry, there is nothing to do; I recommend pts now, so she wont suffer any more....

And thus, its usually only vets whom cooperate much with pedigree breeders (their kittens have insurance, and these owners wish to fight on)
or vets cooperating much with rescue groups.

Otherwise, you must have some luck to find a vet whom is knowleable, sympathetic and willing to put work and effort into a weak kitten, without expecting much more payment than for a regular check up...

Talked to my app vet and she said the feeding was ok, I ordered some for small kittens.
Little Ezekiel perks up when he smells the food and comes over to eat. He had another nice wet pee. No poop yet

Couldn't find any glucose in the shops, I found pedialyte but we only have slightly flavoured ones. Is that ok?

With these looks on the last pics, he perhaps even doesnt need no pedialyte.... :)

Anyway, good you have it at hand... And if he doesnt need it, you can surely use it up yourself. Perhaps as a refresher a super hot day.

Little Zeke is still with us, though I keep having nightmares about finding him...

I think the fleas are almost or just gone. I didn't find any combing him but they could be hiding on his tiny body. He doesn't like to be manhandled so I do what I can..yes I let a 500 gram kitten get the best of me.

I'm still guarded on his progress but we're taking hour by hour, day by day

Still haven't found any fleas. He only eats when I bring in wet food and I have to move the food into a pile with my finger to encourage him to continue eating. I still put some syrup on his gums as he's sooooo anemic. Can't hurt can it?

Sometimes he takes a break from eating for a pee. No new poos yet, he did have them on Saturday and Sunday but they were hard. Might take a while for them to form again

This boy is sassy. I wanted to give him a nice soft blanket and switched it out, put him down and he proceeded to jump off. Quickly put back the old blanket back and he went back on. His new food also came in and I gave him a little too much but he just went and ate it all.
I guess that is a win. He's mostly just loafing now, watching the other cats
It is also very clear this tiny 500 gram kitten has got me wrapped around his little paw :lovecat3:

He's alive for now. I don't know what more to do. He's hydrated, he's been fed. I put syrup around his gums, just in case
He's just lying there, limp, breathing... He responds to light and if I stroke him along the back I get an angry tail flick
Only thing different is he did a poo when I came down at 3 am..he ate his food, went back to snuggle kitty. I did notice it was a bit warm in the room but that can't be it?
I went out to work, came back at 6 and found him...

Edit: he's also purring....

Cats purr when they are in pain as a way of soothing themselves.

I don't think his leg can be broken if he's able to move around on it so well. You said he finally pooped, so I guess it's not constipation. The fact that he's eating and drinking well is a good sign, but I'm worried that he might have some internal injuries that are causing him to collapse.

How warm was it in the room? Over 30C? Is there any way you can get him to a vet again?

Kittens don't need to be put under for x-rays, It's possible for the vet and vet tech to take them just by holding the kitten in place.

The vet will want to pts....they don't know how to deal with such a weak kitten...we are way behind when it comes that. Also moving him in this state can't be good...
And the vet Saturday was adamant in putting him under for x-ray....

Where I found him, I know there's dogs, malinois and the way I found him was weird. I keep thinking the dog picked him up but let go once they were outside.

It wasn't over 30 but it felt stuffy and he was drooling..

But this the reason I'm pessimistic when things seemed to go right

I think if he was over heated he would be panting rather than drooling.

What’s The Ideal Temperature For A Cat? [Answered] - TheCatSite

Maybe a dog picked him up and he's got something going on internally from being held in the dogs jaws. Does he have any puncture wounds that you can see? I know you don't want to move him while he's in this state, it's a good idea to leave him be, but anything obvious?

Have you checked online for cat specialist vets or veterinary university hospitals in your area? Our vet wanted to PTS a kitten we brought in once, but suggested we take him to a veterinary university hospital in another city and they managed to save him. University hospitals usually have the best staff and they're willing to try more than a regular vet would as it's good training for the students

I can't find any wounds. Not on his leg or his body. He did always protest when I picked him up
We don't really have any universities here that might take on these cases. It's a vet practice or nothing. I am looking to see if there are any kitten specialists somewhere, maybe I can call them and they know where to go

He still purring and reacting slightly but no improvement

Called a cat rescue and she said pts...he's suffering...:frustrated:

Then I called a vet hospital 45 minutes from here and they said it's the anemia from the fleas and what I'm doing is the right way but to really help he would probably need a blood transfusion.....he's in no way to travel right now.....but I am considering.....
