I'm growing quite concerned about my older cat, Angus. He is 13 and he's very reserved. On occasion our kitten, Grizz, has knocked him over and Angus has had to defend himself on his side. But Grizz is also very sweet and cuddly. I think he's dying to get outside, he's like an ping pong ball bouncing off the walls. I think some of his brain cells have died!

Keep in mind that some cats flop onto their side/back immediately to get into the standard cat defensive position. So thats not necessarily such a big deal in and of itself, but yes, a 13 year old can sometimes be very stressed by a kitten.

You'll need to play with a kitten a LOT to work some of that energy out. Check out other threads here on enrichment, and videos on YouTube. It doesn't need to be expensive.

How many play sessions are you having with the kitten per day?
