This is the previous cat, Franklin, who I miss very much.

The story behind the photo is that I was taking care of Franklin when his owner was deployed to Iraq. After over a year, the owner's stuff was sent back before the owner. Franklin could smell who the stuff belonged to and of course he remembered.

He and I loved each other very much. He could always tell when I needed a cat and even if he was fast asleep across the house, he would come running to comfort me.

But I wasn't his person and the soldier was. The soldier's scent was better than catnip to him. The story doesn't have a happy ending, but Franklin was a great cat who deserves to be remembered so I wanted to share this picture with other cat people who could appreciate it for what it is.

Rest in peace, fur son person.

Oh, what a day! He is tired after his bath this morning. He purred and was so good while I wet him and lathered him up but, he did not care much for the blow drier. It took me a lot longer to dry him because his fur is getting thicker!

He was playing after the ordeal.
