The differences I'm seeing in my old and new phones is amazing. Updated cameras can make a big difference in clarity and color.

They don't help with getting cats to cooperate though!

Honestly, if you want a camera, get a camera. Phone cameras are good but, as the saying goes... "Jack of all trades but master of none."

When it comes down to it, the camera isn't important. It's the person behind the camera.

If you see a subject you want to make a photograph of, you have "Found" a photograph.

Then you "Ask" yourself what is it about what you have found that makes it a good photograph. It is the shape? Is it the light? Is it the color? What made you want to take that picture?

Next, you "Rethink" your shot. How can you frame the subject? What light looks best? What focus, exposure or other settings should you use?

    Finally, you "Take" the photograph.

If you get in the habit of "Find," "Ask" and "Rethink" before you "Take" a picture, you will always have interesting pictures to look at.

Just remember to FART and you'll never go wrong! ;) ;) ;)

Tiger mid-yawn or is it mid-roar? Either way it kind of looks like her whiskers have a mind of their own... [IMG]

...and apologies for posting two photos. I just read the rules and can edit this post but can't find a way to delete it. Damn, I broke my own rule of not reading the rules first. tiger.jpg

Yes, but if the angle isn't right, I end up with a too-close shot of her ear! Or "goobies" in her eye! Or ... well, let's just say, it's not going well.

Yeah, that's a problem I'm having too.

And, in this case, the cat "in front of" the camera.

    Uhm... LOL. :dunno:

With continued persistence, and a LOT of luck, I finally got a pretty good pic of Ruby and her whiskers. :)

Wow! The whisker entries are really adding up! I think we all love whiskers on kitties. Like the song, “My favorite Things.” “Raindrops on roses and Whiskers on kittens....” :winkcat:

That's a genius song, and mainly for that lyric, I think we all agree, @Jcatbird! Whiskers are one of the most charming things about cats. I'm always telling my female cats that they're a species where the females look gorgeous with whiskers, unlike most others. :insertevillaugh::crackup:
