So my friend and I just finished this. It was probably the most difficult puzzle I've ever done, even though you would look at it and wonder why.
Usually having odd shapes make it easier and more fun, but the shapes in this were quite bizarre. It's a great picture though.

Those are like the shapes in the old Springbok I just did and I really didn’t care for that much variety in puzzle pieces. It definitely increases the difficulty.

I actually gave up on a puzzle.. did the border and a bit more, but my puzzle friend and I decided it wasn't worth the effort.. it's this one:

It was really hard, and not a lot of fun.
I ended up doing this one of Edward Gorey's book covers I had saved up. It was really easy and I thoroughly enjoyed it:

mani mani , I can see it on that first one. Looks like it might be fun but then way too much pink, tiny bodies and an overall small scale.

Yes the Moon was 1000 pc, my cats are so helpful, especially at sorting and occasionally knocking pieces to the ground for my oldest dog to eat lol. Machu Picchu ended up one piece short! I'm working on a 1500 piece one now, have a couple that size and one 2000 piece so I guess I'll see how it goes with larger puzzles.

I've made myself up a board that will only take up to 1000. If it's holidays I take over the kitchen table and do a 2 or 3000 one.
