One year, when we lived in town, the neighbors blew all their leaves into our lawn. We only had one tree. It was 3 foot high! We blew them all back plus ours. Take that! I couldn’t believe it! My husband was so mad…..
I think you are talking about the tall greyish metal vase? It’s one of my favorite decorating pieces and pretty much stays up year round. Like everything on both pictures it was thrifted. if it’s not that then further on in the pic is the fire set.klunick those tables of yours are absolutely gorgeous! Someone made those for you?
susanm9006 What is the dark grey thing in the second photo, on and towards the right edge of the mantel (if that's what it's called when it is a ledge below the fireplace)?
I used to have a next door neighbor where I had a big tree close to our property line in the front and she had a big tree close to my fence in the back. One year she blew all the leaves from my tree back into my yard. So later that evening I raked up all of her maple leave from my back yard and dumped them over the fence back into hers. Never discussed but it never happened again. One year, when we lived in town, the neighbors blew all their leaves into our lawn. We only had one tree. It was 3 foot high! I mowed a bunch of pine cones to bits yesterday because I was too lazy to pick them up! 60 year old pines drop a lot of them them this time of year.I wanted to get some of those scented pinecones until I saw the price for a small bag! I filled up this entire wagon for FREE with pinecones found along our Court.View attachment 484098
I am so ready for fires in the fireplace but still not cool enough yet. Still in the high 70's/low 80"s during the day and by the time it dips into the 60's, I'm already in bed.I live for Fall! The weather has gotten Fall-like here the past few days, so I've been wearing a burnt orange cardigan today. I don't think Summer clothing suits me, and I don't like showing so much skin anyway. I decorated some of the house yesterday, and am sitting in my craft room/office, enjoying the fire as I type this (so are the cats!).
