He's been carrying a little elf around for over a week.
What a darling thing :redheartpump:

The competition numbers which were uploaded to the national entity that monitors/tracks/maintains/oversees this (just under the year-end deadline), have been integrated and resulted in a step up in ranking WOO-HOO!!
A very nice start to 2019 :clap2:

I'm on my way home from work; I had a few drinks with an (ex)co-worker and her baby girl, and with a co-worker and his wife and their two children (a baby girl and a toddler boy). It's nice to meet (ex)co-workers in a different setting and to see that they are not only great co-workers, but wonderful parents too.

I made this browned butter pumpkin mac and cheese for my dinner today. I feel like I did a good job cooking it, like some kind of gourmet chef because the butter and milk and flour were actually doing what the recipe said they would. It was cool.

Also, the heat in our place, which has been pretty dicey as of late, was fixed today! Oddly, I really like not freezing in my own home.

Last summer a friend whose long-time (20+ years ) significant other had died, found a new love. However she was so caught up in the new relationship that she stopped calling me. Last week she called to wish me happy new year and to apologize for not calling. I am so happy to have her back in my life.

~ One of my very first stray rescue cats I had spayed/vaccinated 5 years ago was apparently adopted by a neighbor - then abandoned. Fortunately she returned to my yard a year ago very feral and hungry. She was combative & antisocial with my other outdoor cats and fearful of her old friend - ME. I am happy that she stays close around the yard for food, clean water and safety.
Last week she ate with a few of the other cats without swatting at them ! Today she let me touch her face and sniffed at my hand instead of taking a swipe at me. Very nice ... ! Maybe she will get back to her old self . :catrub:
I had a lousy two weeks and seeing this made it a beautiful day. :)

I had a restful few days with no work. Other than 4 hours yesterday but it went by fast. I'm chugging away on another puzzle...this one is a bit harder than the bird one..i just finished the sky and have to finish the driveway and rocks. Honeybee only came up once to meow at me to open the door for her...

She was back inside in 5 minutes. It's cold blustery outside. It was around 45 but the wind was whipping!

Here's the Princess Honeybee on the puzzle

It was a nice day yesterday- sunshine and temps in the 40s- so Michele and I went for a ride along the Niagara River gorge. I got some pictures of the lower rapids from the rim at Devil's Hole State Park. IMG_0457.JPG those waves don't look like much, except it's about 150 ft. down to the water from where I was standing. They are actually about 8 or 10 ft. high. We then went on to Niagara Falls, where I won $50 at the casino. Not much, but better than a sharp stick in the eye.

That is so sweet. I bet she'll be inside in a matter of time. Sorry about your rough time. I bet touching her face was amazing.

Im outside withwith the boys, greg and arnold. We are having a brief "warm spell" in our canadian winter, snow has melted and its above freezing.

The boys are running around their fenced enclosure (about 1500 sqft), that we built this summer.

Im getting old, been told many times I dont smile much, but when I see my boys running full tilt, with their fur flying and their great bulky bodies seeming to bounce and float at the same time, when I know they are happy, their minds are challenged...it makes me smile. ..every single time.

There goes arnold again! Hurtling across the yard, leaps 4 feet up into a tree, hangs for a moment....jumps back down and hurtles off to the other end of the yard....with greg in hot pursuit! All for no particular reason.

Not very nice today as rain is threatening but Capucchino's visit to the vet was uneventful, she does NOT have another cold and the skin condition where she is pulling out her fur is treatable and nothing dangerous. Poor baldy looking old lady cat, for almost 19 she is doing extremely well, none of the old-lady-cat conditions that are so common, at the rate she is going she will live forever.
