I have a drinkwell fountain and bought the 70 ounce resivior for it. When the resivior is attached the fountain overflows. Has anyone else ever had this problem? Does anyone have any ideas as to how to fix this problem? I am trying to figure out for sure if the resivior is defective or not before I call the internet retailer I bought it from. It should be easy to set this up but it is not working out. My hubby has washed my bathroom floor twice from the bowl overflowing.

I just got a drinkwell and I have not had any overflow problems. I do know that it holds a gallon of water so when I first fill it and put it together, I have to wait while it fills the bottom, then refill the tank. Hope some can help you. I think you may have to return it.

Do you live on a mountain, I heard it does that if it's used high up.

Thanks for your quick replies. I do not live on a mountain. We realized that my hubby did not put the -ring in the right place last night. He had it around the container instead of inside the lid.
