Is this dryness or infection?

I just noticed this on my cat today. No idea where she got it from. She plays with her brother but they never get too aggressive. My fiance says scratches that ear more than normal. Is it allergies?

Can you get her to a vet for an in-person diagnosis? I'm not a vet but I do have cat who have had issues. To me it looks like it could be a fungal infection. If it is you'll need medication to clear it up.

For now try cleaning it gently with a mild soap (original Dawn dish detergent is safe for cats) and warm water.
