is this a scab on my kitten or?

i noticed this brown hard spot near my kittens mouth. is it just a scab from perhaps rough play with his siblings or something else.

It looks like just a scab to me, but I'm not a vet. Definitely keep an eye on it, and if it doesn't seem to be getting better in a week or two, make a vet appointment!

If it is a scab it will eventually fall off and the skin will heal. If that does not happen, or if it falls off but then recurs you need to see a vet.
