Does anyone have an idea what kind of kitten this is? I believe the mother is all black so I am curious to know if it might be part Balinese and hopefully I would Does it appear to have an undercoat?

Interesting. There was another in the litter that did look all black.I think that the kitten is going to be solid black like mom- the white looks like a fever coat. THE INDEFINABLE KITTEN COLOURS
I agree with the other posters and whatever the lineage, this kitten is 100% adorable and deserving of a loving permanent home!View attachment 199657 View attachment 199658 View attachment 199657 View attachment 199658 Does anyone have an idea what kind of kitten this is? I remember that little guy! He looks stunning now.Looks like you already got your answer, but I had a foster kitten a couple years ago with a fever coat. Here's a pic of him as a kitten and now as an adult:
*to say nothing of the fact that I've never heard of a Kinkalow Cat!*Well, slap me upside my head with a pipe made of lead . . . . .
That's fascinating!
And cute!
He was so cute I had to scream. So I did.*to say nothing of the fact that I've never heard of a Kinkalow Cat!*
Yeah, that was my general reaction, too, and not least because there has been a cat in my life who looked a lot like that one, but I never knew the term, "Kinkalow".He was so cute I had to scream. So I did.
The pointed cats, especially, change quite a bit over time. Our beloved Sishya was almost all white with what looked like a faint mask around her eyes, a faint saddle, and a brown tail when she first found me. Over time, she darkened beautifully, and in her last year or so, she lightened up again.I didn't know anything about fever coat until now, but I know my big blue guy had ghosting when he was still a kitten and I knew he was going to grow out of it. We had a girl before him change from white and cream to white with a deep heather color and a beautiful mask, so you never can quite tell with your kittens.
