Is My Male Kitten In Heat?

I have a male kitten named Kudo who is 8 months old. He vocalizes while rolling and flipping on the ground. I also have a female cat, she is spayed. Kudo always tries to grab her by biting her around the neck. He is also trying to leave the house especially at night. Is he old enough to experience mating sensations or is it something else? He isn't neutered. Will neutering solve his behaviour, as I don't want to separate the two cats.

Males don't go into heat, they are pretty much always ready to mate. That said, he does sound like he is ready to mate. Getting him fixed now should stop the biting and prevent him from starting to spray.
