The opening is a small slit, but it doesn't look big enough to be a female, and it's a considerable distance from the anus.

It doesn't look too far apart to me. There is no set distance that says male or female. Every cat will be slightly different. I'm still going with female because I would expect to be able to see bulges of testicles by 12 weeks.

You may have to wait a few more weeks to be absolutely sure.

Agree, so far it looks like a female, but this may change over time.
