I don’t know what kind of fur my 12 week kitten will have. I am not sure if it will be short, medium or long. It seems longer then a short hair but not as long as other cats. His fur is really soft and fluffy and does have some long hairs coming out if it. His tail is pretty fluffy and he does have long ear hairs.

Beautiful kitty. I think he'd grow up to be medium-haired.

I too think he is a wanna be longhair; and will be called for medium hair.

What is this for collar?

If its some defleasing, observe most defleasing collars are unhealthy for cats.
Its only the Serestro, by the big medical concern Bayer, which is reasonably safe.

It is not a flea collar. It will have a tag with our info on it.

Good! Are you letting him out? Young kittens dont have a feeling of revire (nor being cautious), and they get easily astray... It may be a butterfly they run after...
But yeah, IF you let him out, its better he has such owner info, than not.... :)

He will be a longhair, and be sure not to let him out unless fixed, micro-chipped and much older. Kittens don't tend to do well out there, many people snap them up to. Letting him outside on a harness/leash is fine though :)

I got him a harness for when he is a bit bigger. He is a little small still right now. He is way to little to go outside but I don’t know if he will try to get out the door and he is so small it helps to find him in the house. He is microchipped and fixed but he has some more vaccines still. He got his first set.
