This we cant know from a pic. If purebred, he should have papers, or at least a solid background story.

What a beauty You didn’t mention where you got her or her background so it’s really impossible to say for sure. But most cats are domestic short hair or domestic long hair unless you have papers to prove otherwise or they look exactly like a purebred pedigree cat.

To me she does not look like a purebred British short hair… they have a much rounder face, their fur is very thick & plush. Their bodies are sort of rounded and stockier, and they have larger rounder eyes. See the link below. They were originally bred to revive the gene pool as a mix of domestic British cats and pb pedigree Persian cats.

Your baby looks like a dsh blue tuxedo to me who could have other origins too.

Looks like a domestic short hair to me. I think the markings will remain the same, just with an adult body inside the fur.

has the fur a silvery shimmer?

ps. Looking in the computer, I begin to suspect she isnt solid blue, but she is a diluted tortie!

Torties tend also to have green eyes. Why I dont know, but its more common with them than just sheer coincidence.


How are her(!?) pawpads looking? is some whitish / creme and others are darker, bluish?

Whatever kitten is, its not from a Persian. Because face is perfectly normal, no flat persianish face.
Brits have a somewhat shortish muzzle, so probably not british either.

My guess is, ex owner took 2 more or less random breeds he knew off... Nothing peculiar, most people doesnt know much about cat breeds.
He mean a longhair and a shorthair...

And yeah, a longhair mated with a shorthair will usually give a shorthair kitten.
