is it really normal for female cat in heat to pee a lot?

Not spraying, but using the litter box to pee often like up to 10 times a day.

I consulted my vet she said Rivel is fine and the only thing to watch out is not peeing instead. She doesn't seem dehydrated and she's on 80% wet food with added water because i rarely see her drink

She desperately wants out. There is a little hole where you can open the pane and latch lock it she climbed somehow. I have to lock her in my room again to my dismay and lack of sleep

She used to be so chill before going in heat
