I have 2 studs in my cattery. I have mated one stud, always healthy (genetically tested ) with one lynx queen 2 times. Both times kittens born 50-65g and died. Then I tought that something is wrong with this queen and I neutered her. Then I mate this stud with other queen who has before had a litters. She got pregnant, but pregnancy interrupted. Now I mated him with my silver queen and yesterday queen gave birth 3 kitten (70g, 77g and 73g), they nurse well but today they weight already 61g, 73g, and 70g). Now I started feed them additional mom feeding. But my question is: Is it possible, that somethig is wrong with this stud?
I´m worry, because now one golden queen is pregnant from this stud too. Last time, if she golden girl has mated the other stud, she gave birth 9 kitten each 100g.

Have you had your cats tested for blood type? It may not be a problem with an individual cat, but the combination of two cats with incompatible blood types can cause problems with the kittens.

Possibly a Strep G infection in the cattery? A reproductive specialist may be able to diagnose. The preferred treatment is clindimycin for all breeding cats I believe. When I first started out I was losing entire litters. I talked with a very experienced breeder and she suggested the treatment. Since I didn't have a specialist close by I tried the treatment and it worked. Our next litter was 4 beautiful, healthy kittens. A specialist vet is your best bet though.
