What's your kitties name?
It's not okay, did this just come about, did it start with a scratch or wound? Is she scratching at it?

It's really hard to tell if that's a scab from an injury,an infection,a reaction to something or if there's some sort of underlying issue- in any event she should be seen by a Veterinarian to be properly diagnosed and treated- you certainly do not want to use any ointments or topical applications for humans that might make it worse and is not for animal use, possibly toxic for cats

Nice to meet you, keep us posted and do make an appt to see your Vet

I see-is Apollo strictly indoors? Is he on any parasite control, fleas particularly?

Whatever it is though is an indication that something is not right so my advice to you is to have the Vet take a look at him- you do need a proper diagnosis to determine the cause of this -it could even be an allergy -what type of diet, what type of dishes-sometimes even a plastic food bowl can cause a reaction-it's hard enough to determine these types of things especially from only a photo

Does he scratch at it,it almost looks like a scab after a scrape but I can't tell- did it start out this way -it's now 2 weeks later so one week ago did it look the same?
