Is he a british shorthair?

Hi guys, i just got thisy for a couple days. I was told by the seller that he is a british shorthair. Would you guys tell me please which breed he is. He is 1 and a half month old.

Was the seller a breeder? Normally you get a sheet confirming it's a purebred, plus he looks way too young to be sold.. 

But he is absolutely GORGEOUS!

There is a genetic test that can help answer this.  With a simple buccal swab - if that cat has British Shorthair parents, the test can tell!!  www.vgl.ucdavis.edu
