Well THAT's good (no lasagna or dogs) anyway! A good weight UPdate, too, yes? Have you two been enjoying rainy weather up there? We're due for another "atmospheric river" which is taking its time about arriving. First it was supposed to get here yesterday. Then, today. Still waiting, although we got a slight sprinkling early this morning.Apparently the photo never took yesterday morning. 10.72. Down almost a couple poops since last week at 10.80. Not much else to report. She eats. And cuddles and burrows and sleeps. Sheās Garfield without the dog abuse. Or the lasagna fetish.
I understand, completely.......We have rain today and tomorrow.
Itās cold and dark in the front room. I have a cat in there somewhere.

Actually thatās from yesterday. We havenāt seen that much sunlight all day. But yeah. Once Betty discovered the joys of burrowing, sheās been making blanket forts all week.
That one she has her butt sticking out. So yes, I'm certain there was a cat under there. But some of her other blanket forts, she gets herself in there good. I mostly let her be. But sometimes I grab a lump, and listen for a grunt.Oh, Betty and Geoffrey, looking SO comfy in your burrows! Elvis is on my lap, on his cat blanket. We have a couple hours plus before we can burrow, but I am looking so forward to it! Love your bedding, artiemom . How are you both doing? And @daftcat are you SURE there's a cat in there? AH! I see a TINY bit of white floof off to the right side of the blanket.
It's 55F and darkish in this office.
Elvis will not stay under the covers at night. He investigates, then leaves. Wishing he'd try it, because I think he'd like it *and I KNOW I would!*
Hmmm. Not exactly sure how to respond to that. That one she has her butt sticking out. So yes, I'm certain there was a cat under there. But some of her other blanket forts, she gets herself in there good. I mostly let her be. But sometimes I grab a lump, and listen for a grunt.
My kitty also has that lookā¦to me it says: āOK Iāve napped a LOT and the rain is still here! When are you going to turn it off?āNow that you mention it, Bettyās looking a little impatient. And a little floofier!

You mean you've BOTH been hitting the A/D??? SHAME.View attachment 446520
10.86. Oof! I thought she was looking more bean bag than pyramid in the other dayās picture. Her and me both.
Pretty much. Ive been hitting the carbs hard again, and Iāve been putting the frosting on all her meals. And in return, she is cleaning her plates. Her prior portions were dependent on the assumption that some would be left behind. But because I could never predict which meal would have the remainder, I served like a Jewish mother. I have a Jewish mother so I can say that. I am still resistant to going back to daily accounting of her meals. Especially because she isnāt leaving remainders anymore. So I went back to the calculations tab in her sheet and played with some proportions, and I have a new portion plan for her for next week. Also, since sheās had her dental, is finishing her food, and is taking daily gabapentin, all my pain-based reservations of playing with her have evaporated. She loves it! I even gave in and let her play with the koosh ball wand toy. Because sheās shown me she can pass fiercer things than koosh threads: carpet fibers, and this thing; some shred of paper or tape that managed to survive transit basically unharmed. You mean you've BOTH been hitting the A/D??? SHAME.
She ingested THAT WHOLE THING??? And passed it?!!That's terrible! I'm so glad she got rid of it with no ill effects. Do you have any idea what that is/was?Pretty much. I harvested this ages ago and saved it ājust in case.ā I keep forgetting to mention it because she was like, āno big deal.ā The poop around it was perfect and she showed no signs of distress before or after. She didnāt mind. I paid it no mind. Thatās cats for you.
But anyway, she loves that koosh ball wand toy. She doesnāt like any other wand quite like that one. Itās been a joy seeing her playing again. And Iām hoping it will be motivation for me to get off my .
Itās similar to this.Great news! BTW.. Koosh wand toy? Where did you find it? I could use one for Geoffrey.
I think I borrowed it from someone British online. Or not.Itās similar to this.

Except itās a wire wand rather than a string. Basically Cat Dancer with a small koosh ball end and a wooden handle. I got mine from an indie pet supply store in a barrel of cheap wand toys for catsāone of Kristaās local Rawz suppliers since Rawz only sells their pates to indies. I tried to get Betty interested in other wands because I was concerned about her eating the koosh threads back when she was eating inappropriate things with more regularity. But she hasnāt pulled a thread out yet. And having seen what she can pass (the red and white thing in the bag, not the whole bag itselfāprobably a piece of packing tape from an ebay purchase?), Iām less worried about her playing with the koosh ball now. And in any case, she only gets to play with that one supurrvised.
I feel like I broke her poof. She hasnāt slept in it more than once or twice since I washed it. Thatāll teach me. I have a rejected fountain I keep forgetting to return. Pet Food Express will eventually give me store credit when I finally get this back to them. I will get Betty a new poof or two with some of that credit.
Yonks. Thatās a fun word.
