I figure that there has been a post about Purina One Beyond around here, but I can't seem to find any. I'm looking for some advice from those of you who know a lot about ingredients. I currently feed my cats Blue Buffalo Sensitive Stomach formula, $37 a bag and we use 1.5 bags a week. Expensive! But worth it because one kitty had severe pododermatitis that cleared up after switching foods, several had minor allergies that cleared up, one has IBD and is very sensitive to foods. Last week when the food ran out and I had 1 day to go til pay day, I had to buy a small bag of Purina One Beyond at the grocery store. It didn't result in any poo problems from the IBD cat, which got me wondering if it would be a good option to either mix in or alternate with Blue. Large bag is about $12 cheaper than Blue. But, I'm not going to do it if has any not so good ingredients. Here they both are---

Sharky is the one that can really break it down as to what foods are better. I personally like Blue much better than Purina. The Blue with grains is a little grainy I think, but the ingredients are better. The Purina Beyond is better than some of their other lines, but it still has soy in it which can cause allergies. It has animal fat which is low quality as it doesn't state what animal it came from. I also saw things like camel color which shouldn't be there. I know that The Chicken Soup food is pretty affordable and good quality as is the Costco Kirkland food. Since you do have a kitty with skin issues I would stay away from the purina stuff as it may flare it up over the long run.
