In Memorium: Ruffy

A short poem about my beautiful Ruffy, who passed some time ago.

With long, orange hair,
Ruffy, my beautiful cat
Was a close companion,
But was more than that

He had a big heart,
Long hair, big paws
Golden like mom, Topaz
Big headed like dad, Claws

When tragedy struck
He was there by my side,
Sensing my sorrow and
Tears I couldn't hide.

Loyalty is a virtue
Given mostly to canines,
Not enough is said
About our loving felines.

A cat who took baths?
"How's that?" You'd say
And he was also a trooper
When Grandkids came to play!

Beautiful, cherished, loyal
Was my Ruffy Cat
Big mane, big heart, big paws
He was fluffy, but not fat!

What a beautiful tribute to such a beautiful cat! I'm glad you can look back now and think of good times, it takes a while to banish the pain in the heart and learn to cope with the loss. The bond you formed with Ruffy will always be with you,it is something that can never be taken from you, not even by death. He was in your life for a reason, he is now a treasured part of your past. Take care and thanks for the beautiful, heartfelt poem. RIP beautiful Ruffy, you will never be forgotten and will always be held in a loving heart! Goodnight, sleep tight, little Prince!

So sorry for your loss, what a cutie! We have a 35 lb cat, Socks, orange and white, looks similar to your boy. Big all around, not overly fat but big, his head is like a softball!

He will always be with you in memory and spirit, he lives within your heart.
