I have two boys. Littermates. I'm visually impaired so I cat really see them that well enough to see their markings. I think Jasper has longer fur and and Buddy is definitley got a thinner bosy but im curious if they have the look of a specific breed or if they are just domestic short hair cats. Anyway, thanks for your input. Jasper's is the one with head markings. buddy has the two black spots on his back.

They are so cute! I would describe Jasper as a blue and white bicolor (in the harlequin pattern) Domestic Shorthair, and Buddy as a blue and white bicolor Domestic Shorthair. I don’t think Buddy has enough blue patches to be called a harlequin pattern. This article talks about the different terms we use to describe bicolor patterns: BICOLOURS - TUXEDO AND MAGPIE CATS

I can't quite tell from these pictures if your cats have gray spots, or black spots. The spots look more black to me, so I would describe them as black and white domestic shorthairs. If the spots are gray instead of black, they would be described as blue and white domestic shorthairs. Probably, both of your boys' parents had some amount of white spotting, so your boys inherited one white spotting gene from each parent. Most cats are not any particular breed.

That's what I'd thought, I knew they were likely to be DSH but I know my eyesight isn't the greatest so wanted some iinpu. From what I can see, the spots are black and as well as the rails being backs and their markings, they also have some plack patches on the underside of their feet
