It's been almost 6 months since I had to send my Merlin over the Rainbow bridge.
My Friday went like this...
I don't know if I am ready yet...
...but I might go visit when shelter opens
Well, we went to the shelter.
The said he had been sent to "a franchise Pet Store" to see if he could get adopted there.
He is 7 1/2 and has a level 3 heart murmer...we said we couldn't do that...
We put our name on a little kitten...hasn't been fixed yet.
Almost home and we said no. We need to go get that cat.
Drove 30+ miles out there only to find that he had been adopted several weeks ago.
Really Pasco County ? You guys are paid people...keep up on records.
Got to talking, we really aren't kitty people - and everyone wants kittys...
Drove 75 miles to the Hillsborough shelter.
Found a 1 1/2 - 2 year old that was a sweet a can be and brought him home.
A 5 hour cat day.
He's not pretty as the first one pictured is, but he is ours.
He is very dirty here - but you can see he's sweet looking/
Today :
Ohmygosh ! He is a lover !
He got a bath yesterday - it didn't take me long to dry off at all !
He goes back and forth between us for luvs !
So far his waking time favorite resting place is on DH's foot - he can also see the TV from there and he does watch it !
Finally heard a meow last night, it was a very, very soft reply after I asked him if he was a happy boy.
And he loves the lazer light !
He's been up in my lap a few times on his own and turned on his back for belly rubs and has reached up to touch my face a couple of times.
So...this is Louie.
I think we are a good fit.
