I took some quick ice photos earlier. Tomorrow I am going to grab my DSLR and take better pics, it's supposed to be even colder!

These are random bushes (Sally roses??) that got caught in drips of icicles from above. I got a few more, but didn't upload them yet.

Beautiful pictures.  That's the way I like to look at ice, sitting in my nice warm living room.

Ice is so pretty! Such a pain, but at least when the sun comes out it's beautiful. :)

Well, it's 65 & sunny here on the NC coast today, but a cold front moving in tomorrow afternoon is supposed to be bringing us some snow!

I don't know if we'll get enough to stick, but sense they are calling for sleet too, I may be getting some pictures soon as well!
 we'll see!

Based on the seed pods, this is a Rose of Sharon.

Excellent pics. I salute your bravery in going out to get them. :salute:

All we ended up getting was a lot of ice from sleet. There was a very small amount of snow just to cover it. It looks like snow, but it was solid very slippery ice!!

Of course here that meant schools & many businesses were closed for most of the week. Schools were closed from Tues-Fri.

Roads were finally pretty clear & melted by Friday.

Here are just a few shots I took. Nothing pretty like I had hoped for!  ...Just to take pictures of what we got.

Those are some very neat photos. I just bought a Nikon D3200 and am still learning. I am trying to figure out the settings to do this because I am heading to the apostle ice caves next week in Bayfield wiscounsin.
