At the moment we are going through a very stressful health issue with my husband. One of my cats, Lily has always been attuned to my stress level - becoming a Velcro cat in times like this. She is the oldest in the house (171/2). The youngest is Sterling just 2. In the morning we seem to have developed a ritual. As I come down stairs Lily is on my left and Sterling is on my right - never the other way. They are usually on the same step as I am too. If I stop, they stop. If I get side tracked upstairs doing something they wait for me at the top of the stairs, even though their breakfast is down. waiting for them. I guess it is silly, but I think it is cute they do this.

Sending healing vibes and special thoughts for your husband. :vibes::vibes::vibes:

I'm not at all surprised Lily and Sterling are attuned to your stress. Cats are so intuitive and pick up on our anxiety, nervousness, sadness, etc. But they are also wonderful, loving companions during times of stress. Hugs to your lovely Persians and you. :catlove:

Thank you. As far as hubby getting better, that will only happen if he qualifies for a liver transplant. We are hoping for the best, but planning for the worst. So as not to be to morbid here are photos of my escorts, Lily sitting on the stairs and Sterling is laying on my photo backdrop.

I'm sorry to hear that. If he does qualify, they can take a piece from a living donor.

They are gorgeous and easily brighten anyone's day.

I am so sorry you are going through this. Please hang in there.

Your cats are really sweet. They do sense human’s emotions.
