When I started out I had the vet bill (that saved her life) so that toys which are a necessity came from the Dollar store. Maisie loved (still does) the Pom Pom ones- a 4 pack for a buck!
I also bought the toy that is round and has a ball in it that the cat tries to get. It came with a spring and a bird in top- $3!!!
And I’m in Canada so it’s got to be cheaper down there.
That toy fared very well- she still plays with it from time to time but in her wild kitten days she would fling that toy upside down! Seriously! Like I said- my wild child.
Cardboard boxes- free and provide a ton of entertainment for you and kitten.
I got a cat tree off Kijijii for $40 yes super deal so keep an eye out for trees that people are selling that their cats don’t use or their cats passed on.
And right now- grab a bag of the plastic eggs from the dollar store- open up put a couple pieces of kibble inside for sound and put back together. The eggs provide tons of fun. I even use toilet paper rolls. You can fold the ends and put kibble in those too.
