In Winnipeg, MB, Canada, my local city, there's a serial cat killer on the loose. They're advising people to keep their cats indoors. Heard some awful things that I don't want to repeat here. If you pray, please pray this fiend is caught!

Oh, that's so awful. I hope people listen to the advice and keep their cats inside.

I've done a couple of quick searches on the subject but haven't found many reliable articles.

There's one article from CTV and one from City News. Neither one of them give a lot of details, except to say that there have been cats found dead which seem to be under suspicious circumstances. There isn't any hard evidence to say that there is somebody out killing cats.

There is one cat owner that said they found their cat, dead, wrapped in a plastic bag and thrown in the trash. Some authorities said that they did a necropsy on one cat and found it to be consistent with a predator attack or a dog attack. Again, nobody has come out to say, "Cat Killer on the loose."

I'm not trying to be a naysayer. I'm saying, "Let's be objective." Yes, there has been an unusual number of cats getting killed. Judging from the one case, there might be somebody setting their dog(s) to attack cats and leaving them lay. Yes, that's just as bad as doing it yourself. Of course, we still have to ask the question, how did a dead cat get wrapped in a plastic bag and thrown in the trash? Did some other person come along to find the dead cat and thought they were doing the right thing by putting it in the trash?

No doubt! This is a bad thing! It shouldn't be happening! It could, very well, be a person at the root of this but we don't have any hard evidence to say whether it's one thing or another just yet.

The bottom line is that people need to understand that letting their cats outside to roam, unprotected, can easily lead to something like this happening. Cats should be kept indoors or confined to their own yards.

This story should serve to remind people of those facts!

The pathetic piece of snail slime that did horrific things to cats in Escondido California, was a true predator. Dressing up as military and charming people who were giving away cats on Craigslist and Facebook. He even got 2 from the humane society. He was caught when he grabbed an indoor outdoor cat belonging to a vet tech who had a locating device in her cat’s collar. They went looking for the cat, and wound up outside his property. When he wouldn’t let them look, they called the police and that’s when this horrible scene was discovered.

They never found the cat, but did find the bloody collar with the tracking device in tact. The cats collar and this waste of life’s house was several miles away from where the cat lived. He was a senior friendly orange cat.

At the bottom of that article, it says:

Police note that investigators do not believe this incident is linked to recent report of cats being found dead in the Point Douglas area. The situations are being investigated separately.

I must say I do agree and the fact of the matter is KEEP YOUR CATS INSIDE!!!! It's just too dangerous out on their own even without sadistic maniacs out there

The punishment should fit the crime for any sicko that harms any animal

I just cannot understand if it is a disfunction in the brain of animal abusers and sadists. I would have to think they are born different. I don’t think environment could alter someone that way.I mean, aren’t we all born with a sense of right and wrong? I just cannot and will not understand this.I can only hope there is something somehow that will end these evil sadistic abusers for good and I hope they go after anyone who watched this. It makes me sick to think how much other vile sadistic abuse and inhumanity is on that section of the internet.

I did not and will not watch it,I don't want to- hearing about it is enough to imagine

There's much evil in the world- always has been but it seems rampant and worsening as time goes on

Oh, I did not and would not watch either. I just read the article posted above and wish I had not. I never watch or knowingly watch something so vile.
