i just got a kitten and i dont know if it has fever coat or if its a black smoke cat. im leaning tords fever coat.

Agreeing about fever coat. And, also black cats in general go through a lot of coat changes from kittenhood as they mature - sometimes it isn't even fever coat.
Eventually most if not all of that gray silver tone will disappear. Usually take about a full year or so.

is that what he looks like now? did you get the momma too. he is way too little to be away from momma. he looks like he barely has his eyes open. if you have him and he is that age and he has no momma and you aren't a pro rescue person.. please take him to the vet and get some rearing advice or the outcome might not be good. he looks like a sweet baby if you can take him back to momma you should do so. that's just way too young to be away from momma.

i adopted him/her after fostering him/her he/she did not have a momma she was sadly hit by a car as she was a outdoor cat. i know what i am doing so dw. but in that pic he/she was 2 weeks he/she is 4 weeks now
