Yes I would settle for her and Joey to be friends! Thanks!
I'm keeping the other baby gates up just so I have the option of her having part of the house, I'm hopeful in this, she needs to be exposed to us more.
not running out to the catio all the time!!

Sounds like you have a plan, and things are going...as well as you can expect at this point!

I did check out the window cat door link (a very good one) and contacted them about a special order. I will get this done by this summer.
OH GOOD! I'm glad that helped.

Should I put a cat tree in there before I close the window to the Catio?
A cat tree never goes amiss. Nor do cardboard boxes.

Was that you with the window link? that is a pretty good company
they responded lickety split with my questions!

ok, baby gates go up this weekend, maybe more shelves around the walls
clean her room, ordering another cat tree, going to wait till the cat tree is in to close her in, too much commotion to do everything, took me a bit to figure this out but it's wise, she will have to go another week or 2 with access to the catio.
I know going too fast creates problems, I guess I finally learned that one!!!
her room in the morning is average 60 degrees (san diego) it was that one day it was 50 which will be the norm eventually.

Thanks everybody!!!

The Cat Tree came in, going to put that up today. Had to order the baby gates.
maybe because it's Christmas time. so I'm delayed a bit, which is a good thing
I go too fast and freak Walli out.
Dumb ol me, I cleaned her room on Saturday and her catio yesterday (Sunday)
it started to get cold and why I closed her window last night I don't know.
she hasn't made a peep since the crating debacle but she did a few feral meows last night, not quite a meow. I was very disappointed, I went in her room at about midnight and opened her window, I was going to wait till morning so she could see that it will get opened. I'm only posting as I'm a little discouraged, could she be too Feral?
I will keep trying, but I feel like I have made some big mistakes.
One of which is bringing Joey in so soon after bringing her in.

She might never be a lap cat, but you're way past the point of letting her back outside. And who knows where she'd be now if you'd not brought her in. Thanks to you, she's safe.

I've never socialized a feral, but I do wonder if keeping her isolated is slowing her progress. Hopefully you'll be able to re-start the introductions with Joey, and things will go better than before.

NO! Take a deep breath. This is VERY VERY normal when bringing a feral in. Each time there's a "setback" there are more steps forward that follow, and the cat in question has learned a bit more that they can trust the place where they are. There will be other setbacks in the future, more than likely, and each one will be a learning experience for EACH of you, not the "end" of anything! She is NO WAY "too feral."

:) Thanks guys! I will never give up, just gets discouraging sometimes.
I just want her to be happy! I feel bad that she has to go through all my mistakes! We will get through this tho!

Those people at Cat Flap Fever (the cat door company) are great!
They may be able to do everything I need as I have an unusual situation.
Hubby had foot surgery, so I'm kind of on my own right now.
Thanks Mamanyt1953
rubysmama thank you! you are always there to encourage, yes you are right
the socialization needs to start, the baby gates will go up this weekend or next
whenver they come in, I din't want to use the baby gates I have up already as those are on hinges and they may be needed too!

thanks feel a little better!

Walli stayed in her room when I went to feed her dinner, got to sit with her for a bit, this morning she hides from me in the catio.
She is bipolar!

got to visit with her again last night, I won't get baby gates till next week,
It's just as well, I need to slow it down anyway.
I'm going to put up plastic in the window with a cut down the middle on both
sides of the window for now, it will keep a little of the cold out. and the cut down the middle will be less freaky for Walli.
altho we haven't gotten too cold yet, her room is 60 in the morning.
It was just that one day that it got to 50.
Thanks everyone, helps to just talk about it!

Merry Christmas to you too! 2018 was not an easy year. Yet, my feral boys are all safe and warm inside and I no longer worry about their safety!

Remember that progress is progress no matter how small!

Thanks Shadowrescue you have given me some great advise this year!
I just reread my entire thread! Lots of people helped me a lot!
I have made some progress, In my state of anxiety I think I may not have responded to some replies, I apologize for that!
@tabbytom you had posted something about moving her food away from the catio so she could feel more at home, can you elaborate on this?
