Fair enough. At least my constipated kitten finally poop today so one less thing to worry about

A perfect kitten poop is often described as tooth paste consistency. It becomes more solidifyied when they began to eat more adult food than milk / kmr.

Fluffy momma isnt enough, as long hair gene is recessive. Daddy must help too, if not by own fluff so at least by a recessive long hair gene.

But yeah, kittens tend to be copies of momma... But dad suprprising enough, do give some heritage with psyche... A kind, friendly tom gives friendly kittens.

It’s yellow and little runny and it stinks like really bad. The first big poop he did after constipation was solid. I don’t know why now it’s different

Not anymore as it wasn’t really doing anything
I put him in warm water yesterday (just his back leg and tummy) and massaged his belly gently and he just poop everything that was stuck and all day he was fine but now his poop is like very watered down toothpaste. I’m using tea for eye but that’s for different kitten not the one with watery poop
Next time he poop I will take pic as it’s hard to explain. We will see how he will feel today if not good I will have to take him to vet tomorrow which I’m kind of dragging as I don’t know how helpful the vet will be considering last time she wasn’t helpful at all

I got worried because he’s tiny and I read a lot about kitten diarrhea and how quickly they become dehydrated
Luckily he doesn’t have diarrhea but still seeing all this runny poo just scared me
For now I’m just keeping eye on them, I feed them now they are sleeping
It’s weird I used the oil for 2 days and nothing happened and I put him in warm water and he pooped straight away. I read on kitten lady blog about warm bath for constipation and it worked
I’m still annoyed vet didn’t prescribed me terramycin for the eyes but I have been following Sarthur advice and I’m using black tea
You should have seen my husband face when he saw what I was doing with tea

I have very serious concern about one thing that happened today
One of my kittens sneezed milk out of his nose
I’m using the same type of bottle/syringe since beginning and I haven’t had any issues until today and only with that one kitten
I read a lot online and it keeps popping up with untreated upper respiratory infection something like that and antibiotics are needed
If he already had this infection wouldn’t it come up at vet appointment? Is there another reason this could be happening? I always feed him in good position I researched this a lot at the beginning
I’m going to get ulcer from the amount of stress I feel about everything maybe it is because I’m inexperienced, I have never raised baby kittens and I never had pet with health issues and I just want them to be healthy and happy so bad but something constantly goes wrong.
I’m really worried if this keeps happening how is the kitten supposed to eat if he will sneeze little bit milk

Such a warm bath is among remedies. I presume it was a combo of oil - and this relaxing warm bath... And I hope the runny is because of the oil...

Anyway, if the runny becomes diarrhea, make sure he gets pedialyte (dilute kmr with pedialyte instead of water) he will need the extra salts, because in diarrhea they lose lotsa of salts.

What is, there is a danger they can get respiratory infection if they get kmr into lungs...

But such as milk occasionally coming out through nose - it IS worrying and potentially alarming, but our forumites lived throught this too... so, alarming but not necessary a real problem.


I guess it come a little too quickly too much...

I will monitor him. What signs should I be looking for? What indicate that there is real danger and he needs vet?

Milk aspirated into the lungs can cause pneumonia. If this occurs you will hear a clicking noise when the kitten breathes. The kitten will stop feeding and become lethargic. Breathing becomes labored. If you hear clicking, get clavamox drops from a vet right away — don’t wait.

In the meantime, don’t let the kitten drink too much too fast. Make sure the nipple hole is not too big.

His appetite definitely decreased but I don’t hear any clicking sound his breathing normally

The other kitten I have with eye infection I feel like it’s getting worse than better I have been cleaning it with warm water and later with the black tea but it doesn’t seems to kill the infection, he have more liquid coming out of the eye. I am looking at different vet but it’s not easy for me to get to as it’s a long drive and I don’t drive so I’m trying to figure something out
If I don’t I will go to the vet I went to but honestly I don’t trust that vet if she did her job properly first time round kitten infection would be gone by now

I will try let’s see what happens. What about the kitten poop does it look ok?

Stop the oil and see if the poop gets firmer. If not, the kitten may need meds. Let’s give it a day without oil first.

This is already second day without oil and his poop is still like this
I will probably have vet appointment today or tomorrow as I also want him to look at one of the kittens eyes and just examine them properly as I don’t really trust the examination the other vet did
