The thing is, I am not fighting a diarrhea issue with Feeby. It has only been with the salmon cat food experiment that she had diarrhea - and, she went back to 'normal' once the salmon cleared her system. Her stools aside from that are good - always have been (knock on wood). You know I tried just about every supplement I could with Krista for her stool issues. I found Optagest digestive enzymes with prebiotic to be the most benign and potentially most helpful. It didn't make matters worse and I believe it did help her. Aside from saccharomyces boulardii for chronic diarrhea (e.g. from antibiotic use or her clostridium infection), I don't know that I ever found a probiotic that I could point to and say, "yes! that one worked well for us." Optagest however did seem to make a difference for her.
I am fighting a food intake issue that seems to 'come and go'. I just happened to make matters worse with my attempts at salmon to try to entice her to eat more of something.
The calorie supplements are terrible; and the probiotics are really more for digestive issues, which I don't think she has - unless I screw her up with some food that she apparently can't handle.
Her eating problems are likely more related to some health issue - as yet undetermined - or, just aging in general. I am just so glad she was overweight at the start of this, or we could be in a much worse place.
