I recently rescued a kitten (about 1 month ago), and they told me they think he might grow up to be fluffy. His hair is not very long (about the same as my short hair was at this age), however he does have a fluffy tail, ear tufts, toe tufts and a fluffy neck area. I am just curious what you guys think! Thanks :)

(This is my very first post, please dont get mad if I did something wrong)

What a beautiful little cat. Looking at the pictures she'll no doubt have longer hair than a typical short-haired cat, but perhaps not as long (and unmanageable) as for a Persian. Norwegian Forest cat? Maine Coon? Who knows. But she'll be lovely!!

She is a domestic longhair. I am thinking she will stay that way due to her tail. Cats are either domestic longhair or domestic shorthair. There is no medium hair. I bet she will have long silky fur when she gets older.

Longhair for sure. Cats can have different lengths of fur though.I have a 5 month old kitten who yah looks shorthair but she has a very fluffy tail as you can see and long wisps of fur in her ears. Jethro (the brown tabby) extremely fluffy and has very long hair. Fynn (grey/white) has less length but thicker fur.
