My cat has FIV and bowel problems. I need to find a dry and wet food without any fish or birds. Possibly venison or rabbit but I can't seem to find any. Can anyone recommend one?
Thank you very much for this in.Not sure about wet, but I found a hydrolyzed (pork) dry food called Young Again Mature ZERO LID. No carbohydrates, no chicken protein, hydrolyzed, low phosphorus. I have one with allergies to everything and IBD and he *almost* makes a solid poo on this stuff. The bag has extensive directions for how to transition because it is very nutrient-dense food (1/3 cup = a full day's portion for a 12lb cat) and sometimes they need a slow transition especially if already sensitive.
I started using it as a sprinkle on top of wet food and gradually increased it to 1/3 cup per day. My two have a hard time keeping weight on so I use the Young Again to do that, and supplement with wet food which they need for moisture.

Thank you. I will check this food if it is good for him.I saw one with limited ingredients, Natural Balance with venison. It's on Chewy. It has NO chicken, i don't know about the fish. check it out.
Thank you. I currently have been feeding him a dry food made with rabbit and he is getting a little better so far but he refuses to eat the wet food. It has only been a few days so far so time will tell if his bowels improve more.I have 4 with Ibd, 3 are food related. No fish, poultry, or gums allowed. Oh! And now no cattle either for one.
We have 2 different foods that are dry (they have wet versions but due to gums can't use) and they're
:Instinct Limited Ingredient Rabbit
&
Essence Ranch and Meadow.
