How toxic is Vitamin D3 for cats?

I was taking my vitamin D3 and accidentally dropped it and my cat accidentally ate a single pill, should I consider taking him to the vet or is he going to be okay?

Each pill has 1000 UI or 25 mcg

According to AAFCO profiles, the Max level for vitamin D for cats is 7520 IU per 1000kcal; or 30080 IU/kg DMB. I’d still call poison control or a vet (but vet may refer you to poison control).

Any vet will have an after hours voicemail message that has instructions on who to call / where to go for emergencies.

That one 1000 iu pill should not be toxic. I use the veterinary version of D3 on my own cats. Many people who have cancer cats use human D3 to fight the cancer. Was this an oil- based gel cap or a hard pill or a powder in capsule?
