I was taking my vitamin D3 and accidentally dropped it and my cat accidentally ate a single pill, should I consider taking him to the vet or is he going to be okay?

Thanks for the help, I'll consider calling the vet tomorrow once it's morning

The free animal poison control hotline is to always have on hand, if one lives in the US:

Kansas State University Veterinary Teaching Hospital 1-785-532-5679

The more well known ASPCA Poison Control hotline charges a consultation fee.

Any vet will have an after hours voicemail message that has instructions on who to call / where to go for emergencies.

That one 1000 iu pill should not be toxic. I use the veterinary version of D3 on my own cats. Many people who have cancer cats use human D3 to fight the cancer. Was this an oil- based gel cap or a hard pill or a powder in capsule?
