i have 4 foster babies, 8 weeks. I currently feed them 3x a day. They are always hungry. I know with kittens you free fed them. Its that the case for 8 week olds too? They are 1.25- 2.20lbs. eats 110 calories a day. All gain weight everyday. 3 are food aggressive and dont know if they will stop eating if they get full. Should I feed more?

Yes, definitely feed more! :lovecat2:

Kittens at 8 weeks are always hungry as they are growing quickly and should weigh a minimum of 2 pounds, which not all of these do. Some are severely underweight.

In fact, at 12 weeks they should weigh 3 pounds, at 16 weeks 4 pounds, and so forth for the first 6 months or so.

Feed wet food 5-6 times a day and leave dry food and water available 24/7.

They absolutely need to eat as much as they want to grow.

One is a runt and had a stomach bug for awhile so he wasnt eating. For while he was 1.09-1.12. Could never get him past that mark. He's gaining weight so much faster now. Today he weighs at 1.30lbs
