how long does kitten diarrhea last after eating cheese??

My kitten is 5 months and he ate cheese 4 or 5 days ago when i wasn't looking and  he have diarrhea since then. how long should it last? he is not sick i'm sure it's because he ate cheese. 

because he have an appointment for neutering this monday and i'm afraid the vet won't do it because of the diarrhea.

5 days sounds long, even if he has oversensivity to milk and cheese.

Especially as cheese is supposed to be fairly safe for cats, much safer than common milk.

If you dont have other suspects, it means there must be something wrong after all.

I would recommend to contact a vet, at least per telephone to begin with. Say the vet who is going to neuter him, as you are his paying patient.

Quite probable the vet wants to see him and  perhaps also take samples. The vet will know what follow up questions to give better than for example, I do.

Yes, I agree.  5 days seem much too long.  Did you call your Vet to see what they said?

i will take him to the vet today but he doesn't seem sick really, and the diarrhea isn't runny i don't know whats wrong

i still think it's the cheese what caused the problem.

Try giving him a bit of plain yogurt. This will actually help firm things up thanks to the probiotics.
