Hi all! Been posting a lot here lately! My cat is on a transdermal anti histamine called Chlorpheniramine Maleate and I have given it to him 2 days in a row but I don't think it's working for his allergies as he is still shaking his head.

Does it take a week of dosing before determining if this is effective?

I'd say 2 days is not long enough to determine whether or not it is working. At least a week as long as it is not getting worse on the medication.

neely neely I did see that 1-2 hours and I will contact my vet. I am going to give it more time before I do.

It's only been two days and I'm hoping it takes some time to build up and become more effective.

This medication is most effective if given on a regular basis and given prior to exposure to the allergen (too late for the second part) but seems it will be more effective on a regular basis
