I suspect that my cat Sammy ate my pet Tarantula Snuggles last night.
I am planning to monitor his stool, to check for spider fragments. What is the duration of the average cats digestive cycle? Or in other words how long before I can expect Snuggles to pass?

I would expect to see it within the next 24 hours. Some cats digest a little faster or slower. I would just scoop the box and check often.

Kept Sammy inside for 48 Hours, but could find no obvious sign of the tarantula in the droppings, I was somewhat reluctant to do a very thorough examination ... so I may have overlooked spider parts, or perhaps Mr. Snuggles escaped and is roaming the house. maybe he will make himself known one night while I am sleeping. I hope so, since I sure do miss him.

Have you found Snuggles yet? If not, please keep looking, heaven only knows how you could find a spider. But I think Snuggles is safely hidden somewhere & not in your cats stomache.

I'm NOT a spider person. The idea he would make himself known while you are sleeping just gives me the heebie-jeebies. Talk about EWWWWWWWWWWW!
